De Nieuwe Straat (The New Street) explores how urban streets can be renewed in a way that supports a circular and future oriented city.
About this project
The project tests circular materials and construction methods while experimenting with new ways of working between municipalities, contractors and researchers. Using a living lab approach, the project explores how design, collaboration and hands on experimentation can advance circular infrastructure.
Why this matters
These insights directly inform how we build the physical and organizational foundations of a circular city. And by translating these learnings to sectors such as the port, logistics, mobility and energy, we help strengthen circular practices across the wider metropolitan system.
